The Digital Excellence Award recognizes companies and organizations from Switzerland and Liechtenstein that have increased their competitiveness or performance thanks to (digital) initiatives and projects.

Under the title "Next Global Hot Thing", the focus is on the near global future. Where are the most ground-breaking, disruptive projects and start-ups that are still in the development phase? The most promising digital approaches are scouted throughout the year, evaluated by recognised experts and proposed to the jury for an award.

The award is given to a personality between the age of 20 and 28 who has the extraordinary potential to help shape the digital future of Switzerland. Candidates are nominated by educational institutes and the public.
