IT Kanton Aargau is the central organization for IT strategy and development in the canton. It plays a key role in implementing the SmartAargau digitization strategy, which aims to drive forward the digital transformation in the canton and improve the quality of life and work for the approximately 5500 administrative employees, companies, organizations and population. In pursuit of its goals, IT AG has focused on and further developed a number of significant topics in recent years. These include Smart Identity, Smart Platforms, Smart Workplace and Smart IT Work. In addition, we have successfully implemented future-oriented projects such as the Smart Service Portal, M365, DevOps, AI and OGD.
IT Canton Aargau convinces with its clear transformation management, an entrepreneurial approach and stringent control mechanisms. The approach is networked and inclusive within and across the canton of Aargau, and involves stakeholders up to the end user in the development process. In terms of innovation and technology, the use of open APIs and open source software as well as the release of OGD stands out. This clearly underlines the awareness of digital sustainability. Also in the area of innovation, future-oriented, first AI applications are in use. The digital transformation is palpable throughout the entire organization as a cultural initiative, and young talent in particular is actively involved.
